•Find an article from a magazine or a book chapter about your vocation or a special interest. The article should be at least 1 full page long.

•Preview. Decide if you want to read it.

•Read the article.

•Write a summary and reflection. No copying sentences word for word. You must use your own words.

•Due: one summary is due every week.

Summary: Tell the main idea and important points of the story. Write at least 3 paragraphs

Reflection: 4th paragraph - Tell if you did or did not like the article and why. Tell why this is important to you. (At least 2-3 sentences in 1 paragraph).

Always cite the source:
At top of each report write the following for each article:
•Author: Last name, first initial
•Publish date: in ( ) with period after.
•Title of Article:
•Title of Magazine or Book: italics OR website URL
•Page numbers or Date retrieved if a website

Example:
Smith, J. (June 2006). Immigration in Automotive Careers. Automotive Today, P17.
Example:
Smith, J. (April 23, 2007). The Green Machine. Retrieved from www.greenmachine.com on April 10, 2008.
