Sharon Gould [ email | url ] @ 12:41 AM I use online homework with randomily assigned numbers. This way evey student has a different correct answer. It allows the students to work together, but at the same time they must complete individual work. I can see their strengths and weaknesses.

Paul Tornow [ email | url ] @ 7:18 AM I don't give retests. Instead I give the students a correction sheet and they have to find their mistakes on the test or quiz and correct them. They will get a half point for each proper correction. The sheet I use has three columns, the first is to write down the problem they got wrong, the second column is for solving the problem correctly, the third column is for the student to explain what they did wrong.
